Menu for 10/13/14-10/19/14

Oh, the rain! I think it has rained all week and we're looking at plenty more rain the coming week. Tuesday it's supposed to rain all day long.

Of course that didn't stop Bailey from having tons of fun. We had some family visiting from out of town and finally got to meet the latest addition to the family, my cousin's 2 month old boy. He is just precious, slept almost the whole time we were at Nana's.

Bailey has developed a strong love of baby dolls. She likes them swaddled in her tiny thermal blankets from when she was a newborn and she holds them so gently and tells them quietly to go to sleep. She told me she had to rock the baby and sat down in the little rocking chair with the doll.

At the end of our visit with Nana and family I asked Bailey to give hugs and this here is the aftermath of an exceptionally energetic hug between cousins. Li'l P was swung around in a sort of dancing twirl carried by the weight of Bailey's hug. We were trying to get a picture of the hug itself but no one managed to get a good shot. This was the best of about ten.

When Bailey outgrows her clothes I pack them away in empty diaper boxes but the last batch of clothes I packed up somehow never made it into storage. It sits in her bedroom by the door and every couple of weeks Bailey empties the clothes out, replacing them with herself. Aaron discovered her sitting on the floor of her bedroom in the box and brought her to show me what she'd done. She thought it was hilarious being carried in a box. She was squealing with laughter so infectious it spread to Aaron.

Dinner Sunday night is always fun. Bailey loves Admiral and Senator and allows them to play with her in ways I would never be able to. First she talked Admiral into carrying her.

Then it was Senator. She kept asking for Super Why and we had no idea what she meant. Apparently she wanted a ride on Senator's shoulders.
