Well, they're calling for snow again this week. 80% chance of snow on Tuesday, meaning we may not be able to visit Nana until Thursday or Friday. It'll probably turn out to be a dusting of wet snow that turns to slush but doesn't melt. Then when the temperature drops at night it will freeze on the roads and make driving nearly impossible.
This is the most snow I've seen in our area in several years. In 2010 or 2011 it seemed like it snowed every week or two all winter, but it was the kind of snow that's only a problem until the sun is good and high. Once noon hits the snow melts from the roads and it's safe to drive. At the time I was still working and I remember having to wait for a call from my boss every morning telling me whether I should head to the office or wait an extra hour.
Now that I don't have to drive to work I like snow days even more. I can just hunker down inside and watch it snow from the recliner. I can even enjoy a few minutes outside playing in the fresh snow without worrying about customers interrupting. Maybe the snow Tuesday will be enough to try out Bailey's new gloves; I can hope.
