Menu for 2/24/14-3/2/14

I'm sorry I had to put this off a day, but I spent all of last week thinking about nothing but the Mississippi Mud Pie and I just couldn't go to bed Sunday night without sharing it with you.

This week promises to be more easy-going. We don't have any elaborate, complicated meals planned. No holidays or birthdays come this week. We should be back to a semi-normal routine.

My only plans this week are to snuggle with Bailey as much as possible. I feel like I've spent so much time in the kitchen the past two weeks that I've missed my snuggle time. This morning we sat in my chair and shared a muffin while watching Big Bang Theory. This is the reason I love my job.

As frantic as I felt last week I actually caught up on quite a bit of work. I managed to clean Bailey's room and the kitchen. I got all of the laundry from the last three weeks folded and put away finally. (I've been living out of the clean laundry basket lately, shame on me.) We managed to finally eat our Valentine's Day meal (the roast beef Nana bought for us) and Aaron has had his favorite meal three times in two weeks. I know he isn't tired of it yet, but I'm not sure I even want it on the menu for next month.

The frantic part I suppose was the shopping. Normal weekly grocery shopping on Tuesday, shopping for the pie ingredients on Friday, and last minute shopping for a menu change on Saturday. Lucky for me Bailey loves being pushed in the shopping cart.

So, here's hoping that there are no unexpected changes to the menu this week.
