Menu for 7/14/14-7/20/14

Maybe it's because of the heat or lack of sleep but I've felt like every day of this week has been incredibly long! It's like bedtime can never come soon enough but then when it does finally come I'm suddenly wide awake and can't get any rest.

It has been a good week though. We've had some extra cute moments from Bailey. I've just started a new challenge called 100 Days of Happy. The idea is that you capture one image of happiness every day. It can be food that made you happy or your pets, sports or video games, movies or television, crafts or hobbies, or music. You get the idea. For me it will likely be a lot of Bailey.

I've recently joined the instagram bandwagon so I'm posting my 100 days photos on instagram. You can find my photos at #100happydaysforbug. I encourage you to join the challenge and find 100 things to be happy about. I promise you, looking for the happiness in your life will bring it to light and you will suddenly feel so much more joy.

Okay, just for a sec can we talk about how adorable my kiddo is? So fashionable in that dress and those boots! I only wish she liked hats because the pink cowboy hat that Aunt Shelia bought her would just complete this outfit.

Bailey's favorite thing to do at Nana's house is to catch lightning bugs. Nana thought it might be easier with a net and while it may not have been any easier to catch them it definitely made for a cute pose.

Ice cream has been on sale lately since it's so hot out and Aaron loves the cake cones and Bailey? Well, she just loves being able to eat her ice cream without any help. We got this ice cream holder for kids a couple of years ago but this is the first chance Bailey's had to try it out. On one side it holds a cone and on the other it holds a popsicle stick. The cup around it catches any drips as the ice cream melts preventing some of the mess. Of course it doesn't keep her from eating from the far side of the cone and sticking her chin right in the ice cream as she bites the cone.

We babysat for Li'l P on Wednesday and had to leave the house not long after Bailey woke up. She absolutely insisted on bringing puppy and bear along and since she hadn't had breakfast yet I was trying to encourage her to eat some strawberries on the ride over.

During Li'l P's nap we sit outside on the sun porch and play with his toys. They have a ton of learning toys such as this shape sorting puzzle. She managed to get all of the shapes in the right place on the second try. I was so proud of her!

We recently acquired a new (to us) carseat for Aaron's car. While it was sitting on the floor in the dining room awaiting installation in Aaron's truck the cats decided it made a nice pet bed. Jellybean in particular likes to sit in Bailey's little chairs. He's been known to nap in her little Disney princesses armchair and in the bassinet.

I love to shop at Target and this is one of the main reasons why. They put these giant red balls up on their sidewalk and Bailey just can't resist. Every time we go to Target she has to go up and down the sidewalk hugging every ball. She says, "Aww, I love ball."

Friday we had a family photo taken and this is the dress I bought for Bailey to wear in the picture. Something about little girls in eyelet dresses... it's just too cute.

And finally, last night at Aaron's parents' house Bailey was playing with her cousins in the bedroom and when I walked in this was the scene. I usually can't get her to wear glasses long enough for a picture but thankfully this time Riley talked her into keeping them on just a second or two longer.
