Menu for 7/28/14-8/3/14

A day late, I'm so sorry about that, but our weekend was packed with activities and by the time I got home last night and put Bailey in bed (and then went back in to hold her because the thunder scared her) I was just too exhausted to turn the computer on.

I'm so excited to say that Bailey has been much more tolerant of pulling her hair back the past couple of weeks.
Monday she let me braid it again and left it alone all night and then on Saturday I was determined to keep her hair up at Dollywood because it was 90 degrees outside and her hair lying on the back of her neck was just going to overheat her. I did have to fix her ponytail a few times but for the most part she let it be.

Tuesday we babysat Li'l P and Bailey had lots of fun watching Little Bear with him. They played with the dogs and Li'l P's collection of balls (basket balls, tennis balls, soccer balls, etc...) and blocks. They seemed to have a lot of fun.

Bailey must have been totally worn out after playing with Li'l P all day. After dinner I was watching television and during commercials getting Bailey ready for bed. Once I got her in PJ's and had her teeth brushed I sat down in the living room with her and within 3 minutes she had passed out on her teddy bears and had to be carried to bed. It's so rare that she will fall asleep in my lap (or anywhere besides her bed or the car seat) that I almost didn't want to put her in bed.

Dollywood on Saturday was a blast as usual. It was hot and I got a little too much sun but it was so fun hanging out with Aunt Shelia and even better, Aaron finally got to come with us!

We introduced him to Miss Lillian's Chicken House buffet for lunch, stopped at The Grist Mill for cinnamon sugar bread, and had cheese danishes at the bakery. Those were just the food highlights.

Bailey got to feed the fish and ducks and even a few turtles. I think that may have been her favorite part. We rode the train. We bought her some rock candy at the sweet shop.

While waiting for the train we watched the carousel and this was Bailey's response when we asked if she wanted to ride it. "No."

Bailey played in the water again, one of her favorite areas in the park. She got soaked again. I think that's what kept her cool all afternoon though. I didn't get a picture of her on the slide but she went down the slide in the kid's playground at least 50 times. She didn't seem to want to play in the splash pad at all, but the playground (which she turned her nose up at last year) just called to her.

Okay, I promise I'm done gushing about how fun Dollywood was. Here's this week's menu.
