Purple bubble bath

Bailey loves bath time.  It's constant, one on one attention from mommy, and plus, you get to be wet!  What's not to love?  Sometimes I like to make it even better and add some color!

And that is what I did tonight!

Don't worry, you don't need anything fancy to do this.  All you need is some bubble bath for the bubbles and a few drops of food coloring for the water.

I like to start by running the shower warm for a few minutes just to take the chill off the tub.  Then I put a little drizzle of bubble bath and some food coloring in.  I do about 20 drops total.  That usually is sufficient for half a tubful of water.  Tonight I did equal parts blue and red.

Then just fill the tub with water.  It's hard to see the water here because of the bubbles but it's purple, trust me.

Then you just add the child and let her play!

Something fun we've been doing lately is I'll fill a mason jar with water and add some red food dye and let her watch it mix into the water.

Then I pour the concentrated colored water in the tub and let her watch it mix into the tub water and change colors.

Then I do the same with the blue.

She jumps back if you pour it on her foot.  It's quite amusing.

I think she enjoyed it.

And now she's all clean and I can get her ready for bed!
