Is there something in the air?

There definitely is something in the air here in Knoxville. It's called pollen and it is absolutely evil!

I have horrible allergies. It seems like I'm allergic to everything from dust to pollen and lots of things I've never heard of people being allergic to before. I must have super sensitive skin because I break out from deodorants and soaps and lotions and even hypoallergenic sunblock!

So I have to take Zyrtec for my allergies. If you have bad allergies and haven't tried it yet, definitely do because it's the only thing I've found so far that works for me. Benadryl puts me to sleep and Allegra and Claritin don't work at all. Since I can't afford to sleep all day (you'll hear more about sleeping all day in a few minutes) I can't be taking medicines that knock me out for hours. So instead I take my Zyrtec before I go to bed every night and I miraculously wake up free of the stuffy itchiness that comes along with living in East Tennessee in the spring.

But back to my original question. Is there something in the air that is making me sleepy? I only ask because I have slept practically all day two days in a row. I'm lucky to have such a well behaved little girl.

So, I've been sleeping 8-10 hours at night for the past week or so which is great. I should be waking every morning refreshed. Instead I'm waking every morning wishing Bailey would sleep just a little longer for me.

I get up and feed Bailey breakfast, get us dressed, and clean the kitchen. Then I sit in my chair and turn on Tinkerbell for Bailey and doze off for a bit. Why? Why am I so sleepy?

After my early nap I make lunch and feed Bailey and we play for a little while with her stuffed animals or we color or read together. Finally it's her nap time and after I put her down I need to clean the kitchen and sometimes even get dinner started (if it's something that takes a long time or can be put together ahead of time and tossed in the oven when Aaron gets home or if it requires pre-cooked chicken that I haven't cooked yet) but instead I sit back down in my chair and take another nap.

Like I said, this has happened two days in a row. I only intend to rest my eyes for a moment but I wake up three hours later and Aaron is home from work and Bailey is up from her nap and I've accomplished nothing at all!

So I ask again, is it something in the air? Am I coming down with something? I can count out depression and for once I can count out insomnia (thanks to several nights in a row of spectacular sleep) and I can count out medications since I'm not taking anything except Zyrtec and the occasional Zantac or Tylenol. I don't know what's going on with me, but I hope it ends soon because I need my energy back to be able to take care of our little family.
