Menu for 9/29/14-10/4/14

I kind of took this week off. I didn't cook, we ate out almost every night. That meant I didn't have to clean the kitchen except to wash a few glasses and plates from lunch. It was a nice, relaxing week of playing with Bailey and having family time in the evenings. I really enjoyed it.

I read a lot. I finished at least one book and I'm halfway through another. I'm still working on the Dresden Files series and I'm loving it! There's just so much action and of course I'm fascinated by the magic and the monsters.

I spent at least one nap time working on this new crochet pattern.
This is just a test swatch with some leftover yarn I had from a project but I love the way it looks.

My great-aunt is a yard sale fanatic so every few weeks she shows up at Nana's door with another large bag full of clothes for Bailey. This little dress was among the most recent haul and even though it won't fit her long I think it looks adorable on her.

Bailey has been wanting me to swaddle her baby dolls and stuffed animals together so she can hold them like a real baby. She carries them around the house for awhile and then tells them to go to bed and gently places them on a pillow and covers them up. It's very sweet.

One afternoon she decided to lie down on the floor with the baby for a nap. She had me cover her and then closed her eyes and said goodnight.

And finally we've had some spectacularly beautiful weather. Blue skies, fluffy white clouds, and moderate temperatures and the leaves on the trees haven't quite started turning so there's plenty of green everywhere. It's just lovely, and I'm not much of an outdoors person.

Here's the menu for this week, and I will be cooking this week.
