Menu for 10/7/13-10/13/13

Bailey made a new friend this week and we are having a play date with her tomorrow.  I can't wait!  Her new friend is four years old, but she's a small four and Bailey is a big (almost) two so they look like two three year olds playing together, except that Bailey can't talk as well.  Thursday they played with pine needles in the parking lot until Bailey's hair was full of needles and leaves and dirt.  We had to do bath time before nap time.

This weekend was a little hectic.  I somehow forgot that I was supposed to be the hall monitor for SAT's on Saturday morning.  I went to sleep late Friday night and then somehow Aaron woke me up early around 5:00.  I was complaining that I couldn't get back to sleep and we were watching How I Met Your Mother.  Ted's character was dating a 20 year old girl and he made some comment about how when he goes to the club with her he feels like he's dancing with a room full of ten year olds.  I looked at Aaron and said, "Hey!  That's how I feel when I work the ACT's!" immediately followed by "Oh my gosh I forgot I have to work the SAT's today!"  At this point it was already 6:45 and I texted Mom to ask what time I was supposed to be there and she said 7:15 and I hadn't had a shower or anything!

Thank goodness for Aaron who helped me get ready.  He sneaked into Bailey's room while I showered to get my towel from the back of her door, handed me my toothbrush so I could brush my teeth and rinse my hair at the same time, gathered my clothes and laid them out for me and even helped me put on my shoes.  He also removed the car seat from my car so that he could take Bailey to get breakfast when she woke up.  My shower lasted six minutes, I spent five minutes getting dressed, and somehow managed to make it to the school right at 7:15!  If not for Aaron I may have slept right through the only work I do for actual money.

I took a nice three hour nap after lunch and then made some double crunch honey garlic chicken for dinner with Aaron's parents, which turned out absolutely perfect.  His dad had three plates!
