Menu for 7/8/13-7/14/13

I'm hoping to get to share my chicken salad recipe with you this week, maybe my family's fried okra recipe (which is pretty much the best thing in the whole world), and our new recipe for the week which I found on Pinterest.  It looks awesome; I can't wait to try it!  I am also looking forward to making some bread this week.  I need to restock my freezer.  We're almost out of honey yeast knots and sandwich bread.  I have to go grocery shopping tomorrow, but when I get back it's going to be a bread baking festival in my kitchen.

It's such a small kitchen.  Seriously, there's maybe a two foot wide area of counter space on either side of the stove (even though my stand mixer takes up almost half of that space) and about 3 feet next to the sink, but it's not free space because the dish drainer sits there.  I proof my dough in the oven because it leaves the little counter space open.  I've also been known to use the top of the washer and dryer (which are in the back of the kitchen) as a counter when opening cans or putting away groceries.

It's funny, you would think it would be easy to keep clean since it's so small, but I think it's harder.  Even small messes seem huge in a tiny kitchen.  It's like if you spilled paint.  If you spilled paint on a sheet of paper, even a few drops would be a lot.  If you spilled the same few drops on an entire driveway it wouldn't look like much at all.

Anyway, back on topic.  Here's our delicious menu for this week.
