Menu for 7/15/13-7/21/13

I'm not sure how your area has been, but this has been the rainiest summer I can remember.  I can't complain too much since it has kept the heat down some, but it's crazy humid and hardly ever sunny long enough for us to go out and play.  Saturday while I was visiting Mom's cats and picking up her mail we had a downpour so heavy that it flooded my way home.  I had to make a U-turn and find another route.  According to the 5-day forecast here we're looking at 2 days of mostly sunny weather for Bailey to enjoy some outside play time!

We are going to have an awesome week!  Yaya just returned from her vacation, Nana is in physical therapy for her broken arm and the swelling is finally going down, and we have some awesome meals planned.  Bailey and I should be able to just relax at home and not worry about anything all week.

Today we had some more delicious apple fritters.  I'm really digging these fritters.  I never thought I'd enjoy frying food but it's so satisfying to get it right.  This week's new menu item is also fried.  I've been getting better at frying chicken so I hope I get this one right.  We're also bringing back one of my favorite quick dinners (which might get shifted around to Thursday because I've been asked to make some bread Thursday and I want to make sure I have plenty of time for both projects) and a crock pot meal which makes my life easy.

Apparently Sunday is going to be an all sandwich day.  These are the details.
