Menu for 6/17/13-6/23/13

Dollywood was a blast!

Bailey spent the whole day soaked from playing in the water areas.  We had to buy her new shoes because hers were wet.

She ate half of a smoked sausage for lunch and probably a whole apple for snack (including the peel) and drank every drop of juice I brought with me.

She even tried to eat some of our chili cheese chips, but apparently she didn't care for them.

I took lots of pictures and a few videos of her playing in the splash pad.  There were a few tears (mostly because I wouldn't let her run wild in the park) but overall the day was a success.

She passed out on the tram ride back to the car and slept until I set her in her seat.  This Mommy came home sunburned, sore, tired, blistered (my feet), hot, and thirsty.  There are a few things I plan to do differently next time we go, mainly that I will wear sneakers instead of sandals, will spray myself with Bailey's sunscreen, and will remember to drink more water.

For Father's Day Aaron took Bailey out to his parents' house for a few hours and while they were gone I got the house good and clean so we could host dinner for my Dad and his girlfriend and my brother.  I got the entire floor swept without anyone dropping Cheerios or dripping juice on it and then mopped without anyone slipping on the wet floor and throwing a fit.  Since Dad doesn't eat red meat I made turkey meatballs and spaghetti that turned out really delicious (in fact I think I like them better than the beef/pork meatballs) and some wheat garlic rolls.  It was nice having everyone come to us for a change, especially since with spaghetti it's easier to clean Bailey if you can just throw her in the tub when she's finished eating and hose her down.

This week will see quite a bit of pasta, a new version of chicken Parmesan (in casserole form), and hopefully I'll be sharing my pizza dough recipe with you so you can try it out yourself.  It's unbelievably easy and wonderfully delicious no matter what toppings you use.
