Menu for 1/19/14-1/26/14

For the first time in 7 years I have to replace a phone before my contract is up. The last time I broke a phone (not including when phones just went crazy and started doing weird things on their own) was when I worked at a gas station and tried (stupidly) to chase a car that was driving away without paying for their fuel. I'm not a runner, never have been, and I should have known better. The phone fell off of my belt and into a puddle and then was run over by a car.

This time it was not my fault, well, not entirely. Bailey is usually very gentle with my things, but lately she has been getting frustrated when my phone is in her way. I try to keep it out of her reach most of the time. Friday I made a mistake when getting her ready to go somewhere. I left my phone in my chair and went to her room to find a pair of shoes and asked her to get in the chair so I could put the shoes on when I came back. Just as I walked into the living room I saw her heave the phone at the floor as hard as she could.

The screen looks like someone took a hammer to it and now I know never to leave the phone where Bailey can reach it. She's usually not so destructive. I guess she thought the phone was in the way.

Switching gears, do you ever have a day where no matter how much you eat you never feel full? I call them empty days and it seems like every day this week has been one. Twice this week I couldn't control my chocolate cravings and ended up eating several pieces of a dark chocolate bar I got for Christmas. I don't know if it's all this chasing and playing with Bailey making me super hungry or some sort of hormone shift but I don't like it. I hope it doesn't last much longer.

This week I shouldn't have a problem getting full. The menu is perfect for the cold weather that's on its way this week. We've got a new soup from Iowa Girl Eats and a few of Aaron's favorite meals.
