Menu for 9/16/13-9/22/13

I have exciting news about Nana!  Last Friday Nana was moved to a rehab center to recover from her recent fall.  She has two broken wrists and her pelvic bone is broken in three places.  After a whole week in rehab, doing physical therapy every day, she is feeling wonderfully optimistic!

The therapists are hoping she can be released to complete her recovery at home within about three more weeks.  I'm so relieved.  I was worried that Nana's recovery would be hindered by depression, but I was wrong.  My Nana is a strong fighter!  Bailey, Yaya, and I visited her on Tuesday and she looked fantastic.  I felt much better after seeing her and I think she enjoyed seeing Bailey.  Then on Friday Bailey and I took my brother out to see her before hanging out at his house with some delicious soup and some Netflix!

I am looking forward to this week.  Now that everyone in the house really is well again I can finally catch up on some cleaning.  I somehow managed to clean out Bailey's closet and box up all of her 18 month size clothes this week, but I neglected my kitchen a bit and the vacuuming.

As you will see, this month I am taking advantage of my crock pot even more than I usually do.  It wasn't intentional.  I simply found a plethora of crock pot recipes for the month.  I'm hoping that Aaron likes the barbecue pork I have planned for Friday as much as he likes the chicken I usually make.
