Menu for 8/26/13-9/1/13

Our snack plan has worked out great!  I did have to make a tiny modification.  Bailey would prefer to have her snacks after nap and before bed.  I know it's probably not a good habit to have a bedtime snack, but I only give her healthy snacks like fruits so I'm not going to worry about it for now.

The only downfall to the snack regimen is that it seems to have changed her sleep schedule.  She is going to bed earlier (which is great) and waking up earlier (which is annoying, but still good), but she seems to have trouble understanding when nap time is.  She either gets cranky and needs her nap early, or she gets her second wind during nap time and just plays in her crib through her whole nap.

I shouldn't complain.  She does still nap like a dream and I'm almost always home to put her down when she gets tired early.  She stays down for about 2 hours most days, and is perfectly happy just to play alone in her crib the entire 2 hours on days when she isn't sleepy.

I feel like the earlier she wakes up in the morning, the more I accomplish during the day.  She seems to be happier after breakfast when she wakes up early.  This makes it easier to get her to play alone so I can get the house clean, start prepping dinner early, and even get a shower without Aaron here keeping an eye on her.

I should note that by early I mean around 8:30-9:00, which by most mommy standards is still sleeping in.  I am not a morning person, no matter how badly I wish I was.  I am a night owl and am still having difficulty getting to sleep early enough to get enough rest with this new schedule, but I'll figure it out eventually.
