Lazy Days

Some days you just feel like being a bum... hanging out at home in your pajamas, snuggling on the couch (or in our case the recliner), and snacking while watching Netflix.  I had one of those mornings today.  It's laundry day and grocery day, so we didn't get off completely free of work today, but we did spend the morning munching on dry cereal and watching My Little Pony while the laundry did its thing.

Bailey is a very energetic kid.  When I was pregnant I would tell Aaron and my customers at work that she was having parties in there.  She moves all the time, even when watching television.  Especially if she gets in your lap, she will wiggle her way out within a few minutes.  It drives me a little batty because I love to just snuggle.  It's difficult to snuggle with her when she won't sit still.  Sometimes the only way to keep her still for any length of time is to hand over the electronics.

This morning she was begging for my iPod, so after checking my e-mail I turned the camera on and let her go with it.  Of course when you give a toddler a camera you get a lot of pictures that look like this:

They're funny, but seriously, I have like thousands of them.  So at some point I took the iPod back and took a few pictures of us together.

Really the appeal of the camera for her is not so much taking pictures as seeing herself on the screen so she doesn't mind me holding it as long as I don't turn it off.

But the best part about giving her the camera is that if you can turn on the video before you give it to her (or especially if she will let me hold it) you can get super cute videos of her checking herself out like this:

How adorable is that face?!  I can't tell you how much I love my job!
